Hello hoarding paper-crafters ... hope you're having a fabulous day!
I don't have a stamping project to share with you today, but I am here to share photos of all the crafty-stampy goodness that's landed in my mailbox this week!
First up, mucho marvelous metal from the magnificent 7gypsies:
I won this mesmerizing melange simply by posting a comment on their oh-so-inspiring blog. Thank you 7gypsies!
Next, this seriously spectacular stash of stamping stuff (and scrumptious May Arts ribbon!) from Our Craft Lounge:
I won this seriously super stuff by commenting on OCL's blog and Facebook page. Thank you so much, Our Craft Lounge!
Finally, some perfectly pretty and practical stamps from Paper Pretties:
I won this pile o'pleasure by participating in a Paper Pretties blog challenge! Thank you, Paper Pretties!
It certainly pays to participate in challenges ... and to support your favorite blogs and manufacturers!
I'll be back tomorrow with my Grungy Monday #37 project ... 'til then, stay safe!

Blog Candy for Your Computer ... The March Desktop Calendar:
EDITED TO ADD: If you snagged this calendar prior to March 2, you'll want to replace it with this ^ one. There was some pixel-messiness goin' on with it and it's been cleared up.
And there's just a few left, so grab yours now! LOLOL, I kid; there's at least 50 left ...
So here it is ... my St. Paddy's Day gift to you ... 'cuz you're pretty and nice and everything. And Irish.
Because of the size of this wallpaper, and the limitations built into the "Minima" style blog, the above view is distorted. You really need to click on the image to see if you want to take it home with you. I use the calendar as my desktop wallpaper, but you can print it out and hang it on the wall in your studio. Or, stick in on your 'fridge ... or, put it in your gym locker, or tape it to the ceiling over your bed so's every morning you'll know exactly what day it is ... just in case you're not sure what happened the night before.
Here's how to snag it: click on the image, and when the new window opens, right-click on the image and choose "save," or "save picture as." Remember where you saved it, then find the image on your hard drive. When you finally find it again, right click on it and chose, "set as desktop background." And, ta-dah!
If you have any problems getting this to fit your screen, I'll try to help you but remember: I don't know what I'm doing. This fits on my computer screen perfectly as is, but if it gets all wonky on yours, I'll prolly have to email you the file.
And don't be afraid if it looks like it's missing a line or a number, 'cuz once you download it and send it to your desktop it looks perfectly fine. Must be some Photobucket and/or Blogger image glitch and/or trick.
See you tomorrow my pretty and nice imaginary friend!

Autumn Leaves ... and the Blog Candy Winner!
I'm ahh-live! But you already knew that, didn'tcha?!? Thanks so much for all your comforting words, and your prayers ... and most of all, those hurricane jokes! Now I need you to pray for all those in harm's way in coastal Texas and Louisiana.
ONward Hoarding-Card-Makers:
Today's card project was created for no good reason using my new (old) favorite stamp and some vintage patterned paper from Scenic Route.
I loaded my fallin' leaves stamp with Versamark ink, then tapped on three inks from Close to My Heart: "Sunflower," "Garden Green," and "Hollyhock." I covered my stamped image with clear embossing powder and heat set.
I adhered this kewl old DP to my card stock, added some ribbons, and two threaded buttons.
I double matted my focal image and finis! Easy-peasy and ready to serve in say ... oh, let's say ... 30 minutes!
Okay, so before the DH knew what hit him, I got in to his face and asked him for a number between 1 and 47. His answer? Number 25. Comment number 25 reads, "Hope things are calm there and that you do not get the worse of it," left by Char-the mad shopper. So congrats, Char, email me your snail mail addy, and I'll get your new stamps out to you ASAP. Thanks everyone for entering!
So the other day, as the DH and I we were shuttering up the Old Homestead, my neighbor came over and told me, "I just bought a new hearing aid. It cost me four thousand dollars, but it's state of the art."
"WoWza," I answered. "What kind is it?"
"Twelve thirty."
Despite all the jokin' around, I'm truly saddened to recall the memories of exactly seven years today. We will never forget; please don't let your children!

It's Time for Some Blog Candy!
Happy Sunday, boys and girls!
Ahhh, the sights and sounds of Fall in So. Florida! It's ... well ... electric!! And when it comes to electricity, ya might as well use it before ya lose it!
Close your eyes and drink it in: the buzz of table saws biting through 1/2" plywood, the whir of drill bits grindin' into concrete, the steady beat of falling hammers ring through the air ... the sweet scent of fresh-cut wood ... the feelin' of controlled panic is practically palpable!
And, then, the child-like wonder of living in a completely encased structure ... kinda like that scary cave you bravely explored when you were 8 ... minus the wide opening. Or, that tree fort you built one summer then realized too late that you'd forgotten to add windows. A dark and cozy love-nest, soft, quiet, candle-lit, with only one way in or out ... till the final screw is set. Then ... trapped.
Now, the wait. For the force of 4 million jack-hammers to start pounding away at your heavily mortgaged home ... keepin' an ever watchful eye to make sure the place isn't fillin' up with water. And then, you brave a sneak-peek out through the 1/2" peephole ... just in time to see your entire grove of mature fruit trees go sailin' by. Good times, I tells ya, GOOD times!
Yes, my dear imaginary friends, these are the sights and sounds of Fall in the tropics (sub-tropics for all you perfectionistas). And, as I fondly gaze around at my landscape, I can't help but think, "I hope my house is still standin' in this spot next week ..."*
ONward Hoarding-Card-Makers!
'Cuz I'm so busy battenin' down the hatches (and we have 30+ oddball-sized hatches to batten ... together with lots of other w-a-y fun preparations), I thought it was time to give away some Diva Impressions rubber stamps. Not that one has anything to do with the other, but when do I ever let logic stand in my way?!? Right. Never.
I have four*~* bee-you-tea-full, brandy-new, deeply etched, unmounted, red rubber stamps from Diva Impressions to give away! And I'll add one more to the winner's packie prior to shipping. *~* So, five. Math: not just a good idea, it's the law!
And, since we're expecting a v-e-r-y important visitor, (Mr. H. Cane Ike), I'll leave this up until I'm back online ... after I get my power back. Knowing F P & L, that could take awhile! So, just keep entering every day until I post again** letting y'all know I'm back in action. DH.org'll chose a winner then.
THE DEETS: If you subscribe to my blog, or have your blog linked to mine, you can enter to win these stamps twice a day ... giving you lots o' chances to win! Even if you don't subscribe or link to my blog, you can still enter once a day. As always international visitors are welcome to enter ... I'll ship anywhere mail is haphazardly delivered.
Remember to check back to see if you've won. If I don't have power and can't get back online, just keep on entering! I'll have DH.org draw a number when I DO have power ... whenever that might be. And who knows, we may not get clobbered***!
So, go forth ... enter many times, and good luck!
And wish good luck on us, too! I jess hate searchin' all over the neighborhood for parts of my house ...
~Hugs,
*Really, I'm not THAT fussy; standing intact in any spot works ...
**I've got a couple of post automatically scheduled for the middle of next week jess so's you don't die of boredom visitin' my cob-webby ole blog! I'm not r-e-a-l-l-y back 'til I announce a winner, okeedokee?!?
***We are sooooooooooooooo due to get clobbered ...

Blog Candy Winner ... and The Yogurt Video!
If you read Carol Burrage's blog, you've prolly already seen this video. But if you haven't, or want to watch it again 'cuz it's hysterical, well, here you go:
Okay, now that I've gotten that outta my system, (LOL - that statement is way funnier after you see the video), it's time to announce the winner of the Diva Impressions rubber stamp give-away. I went to Random.org and plugged in the number of comments (not including deleted comments), and got this:
Random Integer Generator
Here are your random numbers: 9
Timestamp: 2008-05-20 22:58:18 UTC
Comment #9 reads, "Favorite technique, huh? I'd have to say distressing. Right now everything I do needs to be distressed in one way or the other. Love the look and the process. Thanks for offering these great stamps as blog candy. You rock!," and was posted by Sheila D. Congrats to Sheila and please send me your snail mail addy so I can get your new stamps off to you! Oh! And you rock too ... almost as much as J.K.!
Thanks to all of you for visiting, comment, and posting. I have lots more of these stamps to give away ... so check back for another chance to win some time this weekend.
Finally, I quickly wanted to respond to a couple of questions I received about THIS project.
First off, the secret to creating these particular flowers is the punch:
This is called the "Mega Lily Theme Punch" ... I purchased mine some time ago and don't remember exactly where but I believe I found it online. A quick Google search indicates it's still available ...and can be purchased for around $17.00. This punch contains all the lily petals and the leaf.
I shaped my punched petals with a molding tool but a small spoon will work too. I use tweezers to curl the tips and the edges of the flowers and the leaves and a stylus to create veins. The whole shebang is created on a punched snowflake base; if you don't have a snowflake punch you can do what I do, which is I cut a snowflake die in my Cuttlebug and glue all the flowers and leaves in place on the 'fingers' of the snowflakes. And speaking of glue, you want the fastest drying, strongest hold, clear-drying glue you can find. For me, that's "The Ultimate" glue by Api.
And I think that about covers it ... if I can clarify anything for you (and that would prolly be every thing since I'm sure my explanation is as clear as mud), I'm happy to try.
Thanks so much for spending part of your busy day with me!

We Have A New Winner ... For All the Wrong Reasons
No good deed goes unpunished.
When the Diva Impressions stamp giveaway winner didn't come forward, I decided it would be nice of me to spend some time hunting her down. And, in the so doing, I discovered that the 'winner,' had already stolen received her prize!
Confused? Turns out the 'winner' has an online scrapbook store ... and in that scrapbook store she's selling some vintage ephemera. Which is fine with me ... what's not so fine with me is the fact that she stole photographs and listing descriptions from my eBay store.
On the photographs, she's neatly cut off my watermark and the name of my eBay store ... text, she's copied verbatim. This is beyond wrong, it's also illegal; blatant copyright violation such as this is enforceable in any court in this country. If this happened on eBay, this gal's store would be shut-down completely in a matter of minutes pursuant to eBay's VERO policies.
Never in a million years would I expect someone in this craft to do such a lousy thing to another crafter! And then to have the stupidity audicity to come to my blog, post comments, and enter to win goodies I'm giving away! Well, I like to think I'm a nice person but I'm afraid giving this gal free blog goodies is beyond my threshold for pain!
So, I went to random.org this a.m. and entered all comment numbers (not including deleted comments), for a new winner.
Here's the results:
Random Integer Generator
Here are your random numbers:16
Timestamp: 2008-05-03 15:14:20 UTC
The new winning number is #16, nappy2cu, who's comment reads, '"This "Bloom" stamp makes me feel happy and hopeful, which frankly has been a bit of a challenge lately. Diva Stamps are good medicine!'"
So, congratulations nappy! Please contact me with your mailing address and I'll get these gorgeous Diva Impressions rubber stamps to you ASAP!

Yay! I'm Back Online ... and We (Finally!) Have a Winner! Um, Make that Two Winners!
Hello everyone! I've finally gotten my Internet connection back ... and what a strange and scary time the past five days have been!! IWS (Internet Withdrawal Symptoms), started nearly immediately ... which I expected, but I knew I was really in trouble when I started to clean my house!!! Danger, Will Robinson!
I've been working on a couple of projects to share with you so I'll be back later today with that but I wanted to announce the winners of the Diva Impressions stamps giveaway ASAP.
So, the winning comment number (not counting deleted comments), picked by DH.org, is Comment #10, which reads, "'I love this stamp: FA125 The fairy and the Love! CUTE! What fabulous stamps!!! Thank you for the opportunity to win!'" So congrats to Jen Glover! Jen please contact me with your mailing information and we'll get these babies off to you ASAP!
Happily, we have a second winner! That would be Kisa Peters, who said that her favorite stamp is "Forget Me Not!" Congrats Kisa, you win that stamp! ('Cuz it's also MY current favorite stamp!) So, Kisa please contact me with your mailing info and this adorable stamp will be wingin' it's way home to you!
Congrats to both winners!! And my thanks go out to everyone for playing along and for your understanding and patience ... being without Internet access is soooo not fun. Forget the 782 emails I have to read; just catching up on my eBay store sales took hours!
And, because Beth of Diva Impressions is so generous, I'll be posting another stamp give-away in the very near future. So, check back for another chance to win four more beautiful Diva Impressions stamps.
Thanks for sharing part of your busy day with me ... more later!

HELP! I'm Being Held Hostage By Militant Cross-Stitchers!
Just kidding ... but I am being held hostage by Comcast.net.
Here's the thing: I've lost my internet connection and won't have it back until at least Tuesday. This post is being uploaded by my wonderful non-blogging DIL ... who's kind, beautiful, and soooo stinkin' smart! LOL!
If you've e-mailed me, or posted comments, this would be why you haven't heard back from me. I'm soooo sorry ... I will get caught up as quickly as I can!
As far as the Diva Impressions stamps give-away goes, please continue to post comments for the chance to win 'em. As soon as I am able to get on the Internet, I'll have random.org (or DH.org), choose the winning comment number. That will be either late Tuesday or Wednesday, okeedokee?!?
Thanks so much for your patience and understanding.

Free Blog Candy ... Ribbon Ring Starter Pack Giveway
Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend!
If you're like me, you have tons of ribbons and a real problem storing them. Well, I've solved my ribbon storage problem, and hopefully yours as well!
This:
While searching for an inexpensive ribbon storage solution, I discovered the "Ribbon Ring" web site and was floored by this concept! I contacted the owner, Melissa Bickle, who generously offered to send me a sample kit to give away to one of my wonderful blog visitors.
To win this kewl ribbon storage system, simple leave a comment on this post and I'll have a random drawing for the winner. If you don't have a blogger.com account, please be sure to leave your email address in your comment so that I have a way of contacting you if you win.
Here's a look at a typical stamping/crafting work area with the Ribbon Ring system in use:
This space-saving system is ideal for me; the starter kit comes with one large metal hinge ring, thirty ribbon tags, and fifteen inventory dots ... all for only $10.00! You can also purchase additional ribbon tags in bundles of 30, 60, or 90. It doesn't get any better than this!
If you'd like to win this uber-kewl ribbon storage system, simply leave a comment on this post; random.org will decide the winning post on Monday, April 14. One request: please number your post.
If you can't wait, you can order your own system from ribbonring.com ... shipping is lightening-fast; I had my new ribbon storage system in a matter of days!!
Thanks for spending part of your busy day with me!

Win Some Blog Candy!
To celebrate my 1,000th visitor, I'm giving YOU these ^ goodies. Well, maybe not YOU you, but your chances are as good as anyone else's! Click on the image for a better view ... then click again, for a gi-normous view!
Please, just one post per person, okeedokee?
If the random number generator picks your post number, I'll be sending you ... well, maybe not YOU you:
- A brand-new 'Heart Wreath' wood mounted stamp by Double D ... (the stamp measures 3"ish x 4"ish ... and this image is a good one to color!);
- A packie of Scotch 'Tie-Downs' in Classic Colors;
- A packie of I Kan' Dee 'Twist Ties' in the 'Love' theme;
- A packie of silver metal, flat-back 'Birds and Nest' embellishment-thingie's by Memories in the Making;
- A brandy new packie of 1/4" 'May Arts' ribbon (a yard? 2? 3? ... honestly, I don't know/remember - but there's definitely ribbon in this packie), from Verve Visual; and,
- Nine heart-shaped, flat-back heart buttons.
And that's it! Just two little-bitty, teeny-tiny things to do.
On Sunday night, I'll post the number the random number generator picked ... and the name left in the corresponding post.
And then, what fun you and I will have!! First you'll see your name, and then you'll email me your snail-mail addy, and then I'll mail you all the goodies!
May the best number win!!
Thanks for visiting and have a creative weekend!
~Hugs, Deb
