Rich Razzleberry Primrose ...

Happy Stump Day, hampers!

Today's card project was created using card stock and dye ink from Stampin' Up's new "In Color," Rich Razzleberry. Is this not a great color, or what?!? Yum! Clicky on the photo for a closer look at the yumminess.

I stamped my primrose image twice on Very Vanilla card stock using Rich Razzleberry dye ink, colored the flower and leaves with Copic markers, then layered the second colored image over the first for dimension. {breathe ...}

I cut out the stamped image with a Megabilities Curvy Rectangle die then mounted the image on a larger die using foam tape.

I'll add an appropriate sentiment to the inside of my card as the stamped image takes up a lot of real estate.

Sooooooooo, this weekend Sheila and I took a hike through the Loxahatchee Refuge which is part of the Florida Everglades.

As we're hiking along, we come across a sign that reads, "Beware of Panthers." Okay, YIKES!!

"Gee, I wish I wore my running sneakers." Sheila said.

"Ummm, what's the difference?" I asked, "It's not like you're gonna outrun a panther!"

"Actually," Sheila replied, "all I have to do is outrun you."

"Three's Company" ... Wait; Isn't Three a Crowd?

Hey, everyone it's Cartoon Day again! Yay!

And let me apologize right away for my wonky photo; I'm not sure if it's Photobucket, or Blogger, but the image appears to be w-a-y too tightly focused. My original photo looks fine, so I'm not sure what's causing the problem. It'll prolly resolve itself before this post hits the blog and then you'll be reading this thinkin' I'm crazy ... again! Maybe it's just me ...

Today's card project was created for the "Stamping Challenges to Love" girls' second challenge, "Three's Company. The idea is to create using multiples of threes ... of anything. I chose to make some punch art flowers, three of 'em; with leaves, three of 'em.

My flowers are styled after Coreopsis'... also known as Tickseed, a member of the daisy family. I'm not certain I've achieved it, but that was what I was goin' for ... just so's ya know.

I used exactly three punches to create my flowers ... perfect for the "Three's Company" challenge, huh? In case you're interested, I listed the punches below in the supply list.

Once the flowers were made, I simply stamped my image on Stamper's Select white card stock, die cut a scalloped mat, and using a sliver of a dimensional, stuck a lonesome l'il leaf on the upper right-hand corner. A simple card, but definitely not a quicky!

Just Because ... Because it's a Blog Challenge Entry!

Today's card project was created for the July edition of Poetic Artistry's "Mojo Madness" blog challenge. For more details on Julee's challenge, or to see the sketch I followed, click HERE.

I made a tiger lily using pink Prism card stock, shading with Twinkling H2O's, then dotted the petals with a Zig marker. The leaves and the stamen were created using Bazzill cardstock in "Ivy."

I stamped my sentiment with "Timber Brown" ink on Xerox 110# card stock, cut it out and embossed it using the smallest die from "Megabilities" Long Classic Rectangle set. I matted the sentiment on a scrap of pink die-cut card stock and, using black dimensionals, adhered the matted sentiment to Bazzill card stock and cut a border using a Fiskars punch.

I matted my flower, added three ribbon brads from Hot Off the Press, and finis!
