Lots of vintage ephemera and fun details went into this project such as a vintage milk bottle cap, vintage Bingo card images, vintage anagram letter tiles, and three metal Milagros charms.

Soooooooooo, yesterday Sheila and I teamed up to run some errands. Because Sheila's crazy fun sister Jill is without wheels, we had to pick up a few things for her, too. We stopped by her house to drop off her necessities and found her swearing at her computer.

"I can't sign in to my (*omitted for Jill's protection*) account!" Jill complained.

"Well, it's looking for your password ... just type in your password." Sheila insisted.

"I can't ... it's not working. Will you try?"

"Sure. What's your password?" Sheila asked.

"MickeyMinniePlutoHueyLouieDeweyDonaldGoofyTallahassee."

"Why on earth do you have such a ridiculous password?!?" Sheila asked.

Jill rolled her eyes and said: "Hello! It has to be at least 8 characters long and include at least one capital."

Happy Monday crafty stampers ... hope you had a 'super' weekend!

Today's altered project was created for Artistic Outpost's "Shades of Red" blog challenge, using the "Typography" stamp set. I didn't use a LOT of red, but I think the red really pops against all the neutrals.

I used three vintage language vocabulary cards here, in French and German, tucking them under the gusset flap. An old library card pocket was covered in patterned paper and holds a distressed shipping tag.

Soooooo, Sheila might not like that I told you, (ooops!), but she's a terrible nail-biter. Her DH teases her mercilessly about it and, of course, it only causes her more stress ... and more biting.

While we were out shopping this weekend, we came upon a great deal on press-on nails. Sheila scooped up several boxes at a great price.

When we got back to her house, her DH spotted the pile of press-on nails:

"What's all this?" Ken asked.

"Oh, well, this is my latest solution to my nail-biting situation."

"Great idea, Honey ... you can eat 'em straight out of the box!"

Steampunk Paper Bag Card ...

TGIF, crafty stampers!

Today's vintage-stampy project is a Steampunk-style paper bag card! I used a variety of Tim Holtz Ideology products in this project, a vintage Bingo card, heavily distressed shipping tags, a vintage French vocabulary card, a vintage slide mount loaded with crusty goodness, an old rusty key, and last-but-not-least, rubber stamped images. So much fun to create!

This card is entered in Lisa Somerville's Blogger's Challenge "Texture It" challenge. A distressed Kraft glassine flower, chunky patina, rusty goodness, and dry embossing created lots of texture.

I'm also entering the card in Gingersnap Creations Random Redhead "Favorite Designer Paper" challenge. The paper used throughout here is from Stampin' Up's retired "Autumn Meadows" collection ... in my opinion, one of the best vintage/distressed collections ever sold by Stampin' Up. Yes, I have a second, unopened pack of this collection ... which, by law, shall be hoarded until the end of time.

Bingo + Halloween Equals ... This:

Of course, Bingo + Halloween also means Sunday night Witch Bingo at St. Mattress but ... not today. I really liked the look of the Bingo card on the front of this album, even though Bingo and Halloween are rarely combined. Leave it to me ...

Hello stampers and crafty paper-hoarders! I'm back for a limited run to show you the latest paper bag album I've created. And a lot of my buyers find out about my current eBay auctions here on my blog so ... there you have it.

Okay, so that bingo-card-rusted-thingies-with-black-spiders ^ is the front cover. And,

this ^ spread is pages two and three. Check out the "potions." This album has corked vials of Petrified Butterflies, Moon Dust, and the always popular Graveyard Dust. Not to mention the vial of rare white ants hanging from the hinge ring on the front cover ... right next to the "skeleton" key ... get it?!? Halloween? Skeleton key? That l'il joke is for Reid-the-Wild-Child ...

Moving on,

this ^ spread is pages four and five. That "Gypsy Witch Fortune Telling" card is rare; and v-e-r-y old. And,

this ^ spread is pages six and seven. That's a page from the Rexall Store Almanac for October 1923; and,

this ^ spread is pages eight and nine. Check out the note paper from a "Crime and Death Scene Cleaning" company. I suppose someone has to do it. And, finally,

this ^ spread is pages ten and eleven. The "whee?" I like to imagine that witches ... or ghosts ... have a complete blast haunting houses. If you're a glutton for punishment, you can clicky on the photos for a larger look-see.

Have a Witchy Halloween ...

Happy Stump Day, hampers ... hope you're enjoying a fabulous Wednesday!

Since I'm currently trying to earn a l'il money, as opposed to just spendin' it, I'm still making ... and selling ... altered paper bag albums. Since I've been a l'il lax in the card-making department of late, I thought I'd share my latest album with you.

That big, brown thing in the top photo is the front cover. And,

this ^ spread is pages two and three. Check out the bottled "Swamp Fog" ... carefully collected for you from the greatest of all living swamps, the Florida Everglades. I've also bottled up some "Bat Skeletons" and a goodly collection of nicely-yellowed "Vampire Fangs" ... just for you. And that's a real, working monocle you see on the left ... tucked in with those original prescriptions from the 1930's.

Have you noticed that I have a pile of the weirdest. things. ever?!? Moving onward,

this ^ spread is pages four and five; and,

this ^ spread is pages six and seven ... notice the v-e-r-y old (1920's) photos of authentic, haunted houses. No, really! Would I kid you?!? Which brings us to

this ^ spread ... pages eight and nine; and, finally

this ^ spread ... pages ten and eleven. Check out that rare photo, circa 1918, capturing the images of members of one of the largest Covens of Witches in Boston. True story!
