15 Minute Project ... Pretties in Less Than 1/4 of an Hour

Today's 15 Minute Project was created for my niece's 8th birthday ... since she's already received her card, I'm posting it here for you to CASE!

This 4 1/4" x 4 1/2" side-folded card was created with Bazzill Basics card stock. I used some glitzy pink (gotta be pink!) designer paper for my base and ran a pink gingham ribbon around the middle and adhered it to the back.

I stamped my cute cupcake images on Xerox 110# card stock, then stamped the same images again on coordinating DP. Super-easy to do since all the stamps in this collection are 'build-your-own.' And, to save time, you can stamp your cupcake parts directly on your DP.

I cut out the cupcake paper portion of one image and paper pieced it onto the original image. Then, to make my super-sparkly cupcake top (click on the image for a better view), I ran it though my Xyron right-side down, then sprinkled lots of Diamond Dust all over it. Then I glued it down over the original image, stamped my candle, and used a Sakura clear glitter pen to highlight the flame.

The image and the scallop edged mat were both cut using Nestabilities Large Rectangle dies, then raised on dimensionals (to satisfy my deep need for lots o'shadows), and adhered to the card front.

Using my word window punch, I created two little tabs for the upper-right hand corner of my image mat and added some tiny faux rhinestones (pink, what else!) to the tabs.

Finally, I created a bow out of matching ribbon, adhered it to my mat with a glue dot and then made a 'stickpin' using a quilting pin and some seed beads. Yes, Mother, I did clip off the sharp point on the quilting pin!

Suddenly, I want a cupcake ....
