This side-folded 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" card was created for Allison's "Suggestive Sunday" Challenge, and also for Verve Visual's Sketch Challenge. Hey, this is a multi-tasking-all-occasion-but-definitely-a-Valentine's-Day card!
The card base is Bazzill Basics textured card stock and all of the speciality card stock is from K & Company's "Smitten" collection.
I ran the solid color card stock through the Cuttlebug with the "Hearts" embossing folder and added an offset square and a faux ribbon with patterned paper from this collection. Can you see all the foil, glitter, and glitz on this card?
The paper 'ribbon' was created by die-cutting the speciality card stock using the large scallop edged Nestability die, cutting the long sides off and then taping them together. I used a brown satin ribbon to hide the seam.
I stamped this adorable stick figure girl on Xerox 110# card stock using Palette Hybrid ink, then stamped the image three additional times on scraps of the speciality card stock. I cut out the skirt, the blouse, the flowers, and the heart and pieced them over the original stamped image. I used Copic markers (BG49, E21, E57, G14, R17, Y06, Y28), to color in the hair, eyes, lips, hands, and feet.
I die-cut the central image using a Large Classic Nestability die, and mounted it on coordinated designer card stock die-cut with a Large Scallop Nestability die. Both the stamped image and the scalloped background were mounted to the card front using dimensionals ... 'cuz y'all know how I feel about shadows, right?
Finally, I added seven brown Dew Drops to the upper left-hand corner.
While not exactly a '15 Minute Project,' following a sketch pattern always makes your project work up fast!
