15 Minute Project ... Goin' Buggy!

Today's card project was created for Allison's "Suggestive Sunday" blog challenge. This week's theme is "Going Buggy," and using a butterfly stamp would have been a good choice for a variety of reasons. But Allison, bucking convention, specifically stated, "NO butterflies." So, I went with a beetle ... specifically, a ladybug.

This darling member of the Coccinellidae family was stamped with both Staz-On and Palette Hybrid inks on Xerox 110# card stock.

The red dotted background was created using a Fiskars Texture plate in the Cuttlebug. For more info, including the stacking recipe, click HERE.

I added some ribbon, a couple of ladybug mini-clothespins, and did a bit of paper piercing on the corners, and called it done!

Thanks so much for sharing part of your busy day with me ...

I didn't know a ladybug was a beetle...I learned something today!

I didn't want to see another butterfly card since I thought that would be too easy (or maybe I will devote a week to butterflies...who knows?).

Your card with that little lady set is terrific. Simple yet distinctive with the embossing and piercing! Thanks supahstar!
